Skinny Ranch

Skinny Ranch

Ranch has definitely been one of the hardest things for me to cut back on over the past several months. When I started tracking my food, I honestly didn’t realize how many mindless calories and WW points I was using for condiments! I have learned to like the “light” store-bought ranch, but still use way more than most people! Seriously- on pasta salad, pizza, pretzels, wings, veggies, pickles… you name it. So, after going to the depths of Pinterest, I decided to give the Greek Yogurt Ranch thing a try and was pleasantly surprised! It’s not quite as creamy and has a little more “tang” to it, but it definitely satisfies the craving for Ranch! Did I mention, 1/4 cup is only 35 calories and 0 WW SmartPoints?! Compare that to the 140 calories in “light” store-bought Ranch!

This recipe makes right at 2 cups and fits perfectly into a mason jar for storage (or drinking).

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain, non-fat Greek yogurt (I use Dannon)
  • 4 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 tsp dried dill (or 1/4 cup fresh dill)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 1/2 cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
Ingredients!

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients and mix well.
  2. Refrigerate for a couple of hours to thicken.
  3. Serve!

Obviously, since this is made from a Greek yogurt base, you want to store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
